Internet Down Time

March 4, 2010

There is a time for everything, and a season for every activity under heaven: a time to be born and a time to die, a time to plant and a time to uproot, a time to kill and a time to heal, a time to tear down and a time to build, a time to weep and a time to laugh, a time to mourn and a time to dance, a time to scatter stones and a time to gather them, a time to embrace and a time to refrain, a time to search and a time to give up, a time to keep and a time to throw away, a time to tear and a time to mend, a time to be silent and a time to speak, a time to love and a time to hate, a time for war and a time for peace. Ecclesiastes 3:1-8

Greetings,  Let me start by saying that I read every comment posted and love all of them!  I am challenged, encouraged and amazed by the comments, they are wonderful!

Tomorrow is my final day as CEO of Bible Society New Zealand and then this monday I am head down preparing and packing up my house ready for the big move to Australia on the following monday.  I am not going to have much internet connection so even though I will be continuing to open the Word each day, I won’t be able to post my reflection on this blog.  I am not yet sure of the exact day I will be set up with the internet again, but it should be around the 20th of March.

So this is my last post for a couple of weeks, but I will return once I get set up in Australia!!

To check out past reflections: click here

And for those doing Yahweh’s Yarn in a Year (reading the Bible in a year) you can access the complete plan to keep going by: clicking here

Catch you in a few weeks time!

God bless,

Mark Brown

May God richly bless you and lead you each step of the way. May He pour out a double portion of His Spirit upon you and into you. May He give you even more revelation knowledge of His word and His will than you can even think or imagine. I feel this is a time of receiving more and going deeper and deeper into things pertaining to Gods will and His word. Deep calleth unto Deep. I can`t wait to hear what God does and is doing in your life. I believe dreams, visions and visitations are going to be coming your way.

Like Abraham was, may you be blessed and a blessing as you trek around this world! I have printed off the Yahweh’s Yarn for the year and I find it a delight to follow. I am actually amazed at how much I look forward to the next day’s reading. (I have tried this before without this experience, so I am very grateful.) We all look forward to your next posting. I would expect it to be rich with that much time involved. Keep soaking in our Lord as you do all the mindless things included in a move! “See” you soon!

    Hi Mark,
I have been receiving your posts for a couple of months now. Some of the things you posted spoke clearly to my heart and I knew they were of the Lord. Your heart is open to the leading of Gods Spirit and I know that as you continue to be directed by our God and Savior that we will all continue to be blessed. I for one will definately miss your posts but am comforted by the fact that you will return. I will be praying for you and your family. God Richly Bless You and Your Family Now and Forever.

Many blessings to you and your family. I will miss you greatly and I am looking forward to what God has in store for you and also for all of us who participate in this journey. I know that when you open this site , God was working to get his people ready. Ready for what? It is all in his plan. Like the scripture says ,There is a time for everything and God’s timing is always right. My brothers and sisters, let’s continue this growth sprout in our walk with God. Ephesian1:18-19. May the eyes of your heart be enlightened, that you may know what is the hope that belongs to his call, what are the riches of glory in his inheritance among the holy ones and the surpassing greatness of his power for us who believe in him in accord with the exercise of his great might. AMEN

I too am on a journey & have many different roles i’m playing, mother , nurse & student. I got fired from my job of 11 years at a hospital as a RN, this past Monday. I’ve been going part time to school for my Master degree, to take on a challenging role as NP. I have approximately 2 months left to go. I haven’t really had much time for church or God. I seem to be distant from him. I’m glad I found your site. I do feel God speaking to me through your Reflections, feels like hes exactly speaking to me !! I’m sorry to hear you wont be on for a while. But wish you good Luck on Your Journey.

  24. sheryl permalink

I also wanted to say, taking on too many roles is not good for anyone, we must all have down time, time to reflect.

  25. GOD BE WITH YOU SIR MARK! THANKS FOR ALL THE WONDERFUL REFLECTIONS YOU SHARING WITH US, IT’S BEEN A GREAT EXPERIENCED TO HAVE A JOURNEY WITH YOU HERE IN FACEBOOK. MAY YOU CONTINUE A BLESSING TO EVERYONE. MORE POWER! KEEP SAFE!

Dear Mark, I shall miss your blog while you are off line but I know you are seeking and following Gods will for your life and that has to be number 1 on your list.I pray for peace and joy to follow you and your family as y’all seek to serve God. I would also like to let you know that God has performed a healing miracle in my life. for quite some time my legs were so full of pain I could barely walk without crying. I woke up a couple of Mondays ago and noticed something was different. At 1st I couldn’t tell what it was as I was still half asleep. After 1/2 an hour or so I realized that I was walking without pain. My legs have been pain free since that day. the swelling has gone down so much I can now wiggle my toes and bend my ankles. I give all glory and honor and thanks to my God. Amen!!!

Dear Mark, I pray that you have a safe week filled with joy of all your memories of the last season and that tears shed will be for joy of the next season in your life that God has in stall for you.

You have been an inspirtion to me and have made bible readng a litle easier. The test is now for me to continue without you but now with our Lord Jesus who is always with us. I recently received some encourage ment that basically told me to just chill out. It was my time to chill out. Now it is yours whilst you dont have internet. Time to regroup and focus on what God wants you to do next.
May He bless you with abundance in this time and refresh you with the things to come. God bless
